    hit

So my cousin/roommate of a total of 3.5 years left Saturday to TX ultimately en route to U Michigan in the fall. The night before I finally decided on a new roommate, who is the same age as my now former roommate which should be a good sign. She also says she has some inside knowledge of Comcast cable, so I'm looking forward to saving money! She doesn't move in for another two weeks, so I have the place to myself again. Living alone is truly paradise.

Sunday afternoon I was in Alexandria waiting for my cousin to come and lead me to another cousin's house by car. I had decided  to wait outside since my car has no A/C (brutal btw). As I was standing in the parking side between my car and another, this woman drives into the two cars! As she hit the first car on my right, that car was dislodged from its parking spot and hit me, and she continued to barrel into my bumper! She stopped while her front bumper was stuck under my bumper so I yelled to her to reverse. As she got out of her shock, she came out and asked how I was. I just had a few nicks, so I said I was fine and in turn asked her how she was since she was completely disoriented! Completely. Disoriented. She ran back into her home and her husband (?) came out and assessed the damage. My uncle came down and since there was just paint peeled off my bumper, he waved it off. I wanted to leave there immediately, so I followed him and my cousin (who arrived shortly after the accident) to the other house.

Two ice packs on my elbow and it's doing pretty well. I've noticed I've had some short, splitting headaches. But otherwise I'm doing okay. After remembering Liam Neeson's wife's incident,  I did have a few thoughts of going to the doctor. However,  I think I can soldier through this. Thank God it wasn't more damage than that!

  • Back in the States. Went to see NKOTB again Sunday and of course, messed up my ankle again. When will I learn? At any rate, it was really fun. I took about 15 videos which I will need to edit. Along with all of the Russia/concert pics that total 700. So that's going to take awhile. The weekend I returned I was cleaning up the apartment and working so hard at it that I broke a sweat! Phew! Sophie left for Spain while I was in Russia, so the place wasn't in its finest form. This also means I have the place to myself until early July! I gotta say, being alone is rather fantastic! Unforch, I have to travel again for work this coming weekend, so I'm enjoying being sedentary as much as possible. Now that I have the ankle injury, it's forcing me to stay sedentary.

Tonight is the Lakers game, which they will probably win ending the NBA season. I invited some buddies over so that should be fun. Tomorrow night is a BBQ- and really, who doesn't enjoy those? Thursday begins the traveling again. I better book my train ticket! Haha! I just realized I hadn't. Thank you xanga!
